Some folks have recently asked, what is the REAL purpose or function of the HOA Board when there is a CDD that oversees the common grounds? Why even have an HOA? Well, beyond the legal requirements set down by both the State and the County, there is real purpose that guides and is the motivation for someone to volunteer not only their time, but also their desire to help improve the community. Here is what your current HOA Board is committed to:
VISION – MISSION – VALUES
We envision a community of members working together in voluntary association to achieve a higher quality of life, greater neighborly spirit, increased property values and ever-greater security of our community. We envision a place that is considered by residents and non-residents alike to be a desirable enclave in which to live and enjoy the benefits of family, friends and neighbors.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood through management of the "look" of the personal properties within the community via the enforcement of rules and covenants, support of initiatives that strengthen bonds among residents, while maintaining a sound financial structure through the use of conservative accounting philosophy, all for the primary goal of increasing property values and the overall quality of life within Dupree Lakes.
In fulfilling our mission and achieving our vision we value honesty, fairness, firmness, equity, common sense, participation, respect, cooperation, and neighborliness in all our actions.
Architectural & Landscape Guideline
Updates to the Architectural & Landscape Guideline have been completed. A new section (W) has been added which pulls together and amplifies the already existing verbiage on Driveways, Sidewalks and Porches.
Security & Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch is one of the most effective way to build a safer community. PLEASE check-out the Security/Neighborhood Watch link for valuable information on not only community security but also your own personal safety. And this committee needs more members! So please volunteer by contacting the management company, one of your Board members or Scott Bloom, the Chair of the committee.
Year-end Financials for 2016
Per the requirements of our Declarations and Florida State Statue, your HOA financials, including the 2016 Year-end Financial Statement, are available for inspection and downloading. You will need to "login" to see the "Financials" link, but when you do, simply click on whichever month you wish to review.
Correct resident contact information is important for the management company to have. Providing or delivering important notices and information to members is not only required in some cases, but is also essential to community unity. In a large community like Dupree Lakes, (664 homes), it is expensive IF it has to be done by mail. (That is YOUR assessment money!) So if previously you have not provided same, please do so by contacting JoAnna Likar @183-951-0312 or filling out the contact formation page. If you have already given this information to the previous management company, please verify it in the same way.
